Can I make a partial payment?

Yes, dockets can be paid in full or in part on KnoxCourtPay. As you go through the process of making your payment (see Find & Pay Docket), you will have the option to enter a partial amount.

To make a partial payment follow the steps below: 

Note: Partial pay availability is determined by the Knox County Court Clerk and may vary.

1. Click the IDN you would like to pay

2. Use the checkboxes to select the dockets you wish to pay at this time

3. Click the pencil icon to edit the "Bill Payment Amount"

4. Enter your preferred payment amount

5. Click Pay IDN

6. Click Checkout

7. Enter your email address

8. Enter your Credit Card information and click the blue Pay button

After completing your payment, you will receive an email confirmation. If you are signed into your KnoxCourtPay profile, a receipt will also be stored in the "Payment History" section of your profile (see Where is my receipt?).
